    Maths & English

    Welcome to Owl Class.

Our team is made up of Chrissie (Class teacher), Elaine (TA3), Sophie, Rachel and Serren (Teaching Assistants).

All the children in Owl class are in Year 1 having come from different nurseries to Richmond Hill. As they are very young and are used to the freedom of doing whatever they choose to do in nursery, we work very hard on the skills required to learn.

Learning how to learn involves developing listening, attention and independence skills. In order for children to access their learning, they need to respond to adults in a positive way. We spend much of our time engaging the children in fun and exciting activities so that they don't feel as though they are working! For instance, writing may involve making marks in shaving foam or gloop.
