In Robin Class one of our children took over for the day. See what they got up to below.
We had great fun experimenting with objects and deciding wether they would float or sink!
We had great fun in our very own cafe role playing are which Coral had put together for us.

We had a visit from the animals from Ark farm. Robin class loved walking the dog and stroking the other animals.
We had a great time at Mead Open Farm seeing and feeding all the different animals.
We used the sound beam to create different sounds.
We tasted corn and created a piece of art.
We had a visit from Vicky, the gardener at West site. We planted seeds including cress, green beans and sunflower.

We rolled clay into long sausages and curled it round and round to make clay pots which we sent home for Mother's day.
Some of our pupils walked to Asda to experience 'shopping' and using money.

We have been having lots of fun with our story so far this term. We have been for a walk looking for the red monster, creating the monsters for our class display board, over writing or under writing the different colours with the matching felt tip and making marks using the different coloured resources.
This week we used a variety of fruits and vegetables to do some printing using different colours, using our communication books to request.
We used a pencil to make marks in our polystyrene tiles. We then chose a colour and painted the time using a roller, we placed our tiles onto a piece of paper and pressed down on it. We lifted the tile to reveal the print.
We made a bowl using paper mache. We had lots of fun tearing the newspaper and got our hands very sticky!!
We did splatter painting outside, flicking different coloured paint at the large piece of paper.
We also made a piece of art using a salad spinner. We used our communication books to select the colours we wanted and then spun the top of the spinner.
In ICT Robin Class have been introducing themselves to coding by navigating mazes. Take a look at a selection of pictures below.
We made pancakes using milk, egg and flour and all had a turn at flipping them. We tasted pancakes with 4 different flavours including sugar and lemon, maple syrup, chocolate spread and jam.

We went to the magic wood this week. We saw unicorns and made toad stalls
We went to space this week. We explored the space themed tuff spot tray, made planet crafts using marbling and chose aliens and rockets to stick onto our space pictures.
We went under the sea this week on our magic train ride. We explored sea creatures and made some crafts
We visited the jungle on our magic train ride. We explored animal sounds and animal movements. We created sunset pictures with orange, red and yellow paint.

We have been busy spending time with our buddies in blue class. We have been making Christmas decorations to put up in our classrooms and had great fun opening our secret Santa presents.

we acted out the story of the enormous turnip in our English lesson this week. The children enjoyed being different characters from the story and joining in with the 'pull' action to pull the turnip out of the ground.
We dressed up and had great fun taking art in lots of different Children in Need activities.
We have been focusing on Day & Night in our topic lessons.
We had great fun matching symbols to the characters of the story 'The Enormous Turnip'
We had great fun exploring shadows in our topic lessons.
We have been busy in the kitchen making shortcrust pastry this term. We are trying different flavoured tarts including lemon curd and strawberry jam.
We have been super busy in topic creating amazing firework pictures!
We have also been learning about fire safety and have created some great bonfire pictures using paint.
We had great fun making the characters from our story 'the enormous turnip' to put on display in the classroom.

Robin class have been super busy building their scarecrow and have gone for a pirate theme! Take a look at the photos below.
In English, we have been looking at the story 'silly suzy goose'. We have focused on each of the animals and the actions they perform in the story. Last week we looked at the Lion and made Lion masks.
In English, some pupils were matching animal pictures with animal symbols, whilst others were finding animal soft toys to match with symbols.
In Maths last week, we focused on measurement. We sorted objects using the terms 'big' and 'small' and ordered objects by size from the smallest to the biggest.
In Maths this week we have been looking at repeating patterns. The pupils have been matching colours in repeating patterns, copying and continuing repeating patterns and some have been making their own repeating patterns.

My name is Angela and I am the class teacher. Lisa is our TA2 and Paige, Hannah and Sophie are our TA1s. In our class, we have 8 pupils including Salome, Sheldon, Niall, Solan, Naqeeb, Oscar, Saraya and Darnell.
This half term our topic is ‘all about me’ which focuses on the pupils understanding of themselves and the people around them. We will be looking at naming different parts of the body, using our 5 senses, discussing our likes and dislikes and looking at the people around us; our friends and family.
Our English book this half term is called ‘silly Suzy goose’. We have already started to learn the actions and sounds of the different animals in the story!
