In January 2008 the school was awarded funding from the National Lottery to help us with different projects in school.

Firstly, the funding has helped us to run two after school sports clubs for a range of pupils in the school. We have been able to employ coaches from Active Luton to help run the clubs and also we have been able to provide transport home for the pupils afterwards. Being able to provide transport home has been crucial in helping us to involve more pupils in the clubs. The clubs run twice a week after school for the Spring and Summer terms. We are just about to re-start the clubs again for the Autumn term.

Secondly, the school was able to run a summer play scheme for two and a half weeks in the school holidays. Thanks to the funding we were able to provide teachers, instructors and support staff to deliver the different activities for the pupils. New equipment was also purchased for the play scheme.

Our thanks go to the National Lottery who have helped us to achieve our goals over the year and have enabled many of our pupils to access and enjoy an extended school curriculum which has been fun for all involved.
