We have a full time family worker (Maggie) who offers a link between home and school. Maggie arranges regular coffee mornings and afternoons which gives a chance for families to come in and get to know us in a less formal setting. So watch out for letters going home in your children's home/school book.

Maggie has also arranged Makaton signing and PECs courses for parents. If you have missed any of these or would like to have refreshers in them, then contact Maggie and she will be happy to organise something for you.

Recently we have had a number of speakers, from the Disability Resource centre we had Mike Byron informing us about Direct payments. We will be having more talks in the summer term about different subjects.

Richmond Hill now has a focus group of parents who meet with the parenting commissioning team and Autism Beds. The group are looking at ways of informing the local community about the difficulties parents face in dealing with their Autistic children's behaviour.

On the parents request Maggie is looking at setting up fitness classes on a weekly basis.

These are photos from our Makaton signing session. Thanks to all the parents who allowed us to use their photos!
